Happiness

absurdreflections:

“Men of profound sadness betray themselves when they are happy: they have a way of embracing happiness as if they wanted to crush and suffocate it, from jealousy: alas, they know only too well that it will flee” - Nietzsche -Beyond Good and Evil “What is Noble”

Heaven

So I got into a conversation about religion with my sister.
She is a Christian. I do not believe that there is a Heaven or anything of the sort after death.
She says that I am just being an idiot. That if I do not believe there is a Heaven I do not belong there.
This got me thinking. There are just a few things I would like to touch upon.
( More to come later, aren’t you excited?)

Let’s just imagine that you really spend an eternity in Heaven. Infinite landscape, You may see all of your family, meet all the good people in the world you could possibly think of. There is only day in Heaven. Now this does not seem bad at all. I could enjoy a good 500 years of this. However, Would you not get bored with this? Learn everything; Science, Language, Instruments. Would any of those even matter?

Get to spend all of your time with family and friends. After 10,000 years. Is that enough for you? How can you appreciate what you have in Heaven without hardship? How do you enjoy something that you know will be will yours forever?
Say you spend 1 billion years in heaven. You haven’t even started your eternity in Heaven. Nothing changes, but I assume more family is showing up. Now eternal happiness is an absolutely wonderful thought. However, no challenge at all. Everything you could ever ask for. Does this not seem boring?

(Again, just assumptions as the Bible does not say much about Heaven. These are my personal beliefs. You may answer send me messages if you wish. In fact I encourage responses. Please)

(1 John 2:15) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
